Mesachie Lake

In 1942, Mesachie Lake was created by the Hillcrest Lumber company to become the new mill site. It closed down in 1968 and later burned down in 1970. It was thought that this little town would dissolve with the closure of the mill but continues to thrive as a community. It offers a great lake for swimming, Camp Imadene, baseball field, park, fire department and much more. Mesachie Lake is approximately 10 minute drive west of the Town of Lake Cowichan on South Shore Road. A 10 minute drive in the opposite direction will get you to Honeymoon Bay.
